It's beginning To Look A Lot Like...

C h r i s t m a s !

We got snowed in again on Saturday and I came down with a cold and sore throat. The good thing is I was able to get the trees up and the house decorated, then rested by finally beginning to watch the Downton Abbey series. Yes, I bought the DVDs and am just now watching from the first episode!

Here are some pics of my trees and displays which I will share at Inspiration Avenue for the theme of "Christmas" this week. My trees are also for "T Stands For Tuesday" with Elizabeth and Bleubeard:

This is the main tree in the sitting room. I always adorn it with cardinals and my very favorite tree topper- a peacock! We used to have a 5-6 ft. tree but have downsized and simplified.

And this is the tabletop tree in the den. It's filled with ornaments I have received throughout the years thru swaps and gifts.

Here are a few pics of some of the displays. I tried to put it together as a collage in PicMonkey but it just wasn't working out for me this time :(

I woke up this AM to, yes, another snow day! I only hope this isn't the beginning of a really snowy winter... but to keep warm I had not one but two cups of my favorite Sumatra blend Starbucks coffee:

Here is a card I'm entering for the Simon Monday Challenge theme of  "Stamp Out 2013!" :

This was recently made for a dear friend's special birthday. I used a sketch -Heather's Sketch which was one of the Simon challenges a few weeks ago.
Products: 5" x 7" white card (Canvas Corp); white card stock; patterned papers (The Natural Matstack-DCWV); foam stamps (Making Memories); Grand Calibur die cut machine and Big Scalloped Squares Lg. dies (Spellbinders).

And this is the card design I used to send to my family members in France.
Products: white note card , card stock (Canvas Corp); patterned card stock-Figgy Pudding,Peppermint (Basic Grey); twine (Martha Stewart); glitter tree (Hobby Lobby); Grand Calibur die cut machine and Classic Ovals Large dies (Spellbinders).

I'm also linking up with Aimee at artsyville for her final Glue It Tuesday-thanks so much for hosting!

I hope wherever you are you are warm and cozy-whether it's by a fire indoors, or out enjoying summer in your part of the world.

  7. ahhh what a perfect quote...again dear Linda ♥

Your house looks so merry and bright with so many lovely festive touches!!!

I used to redecorate our whole downstairs by taking down the everyday things and putting all Christmas in its place...not sure what happened this year...OK I guess you have to stay home to get anything done...

Your snow sounds cozy to me but I find it nicest when everyone can be safe at home to enjoy it...
they are calling for 60 degrees toward the end of the week here in Virginia = it will feel like spring...
hope you'll be getting a thaw and that you are feeling much much better very soon...
no time to be feeling poorly that's for sure!

Happy T Day to you and thank you for your sweet visit and understanding about my JM 'crush' ...I know you get that ;)

  10. I like how you grouped your decorations together...all snowmen, all Santas, etc. The tree with the cardinals and peacock on top is stunning and it is fun to have the one in the den with ornaments that were gifted to you!

  11. Lovely cards Linda and great decorations too! I always have to stop and think for a second when I see cardinals at Christmas - we don't have that bird here in the UK, our Christmas bird is the robin :)

  12. I really like the way you arranged your decorations in groups--all snowmen, all Santa, etc. I really admire people who have time to do more than one tree. The cardinal tree with the peacock on top is stunning!

  13. Your trees are gorgeous. I still do 7 ft. trees but I know I am going to have to start thinking about downsizing in a few years. Your Santas made me smile.

  14. Nutcrackers, snowmen, and Santas, OH MY. It's all perfect Christmas fare and lovely, too.

Sorry I'm late. My internet is down and will be for a couple of days, so I'm at my neighbor Sally's working on her laptop, which is NOT fun. I'm no good with a touchpad because I need a mouse.

Thanks for joining T today. I'm a nut over trees, and I absolutely adore those you have. It's been forever since I've had anything but tabletop trees. I'll join you for another cup of Starbuck's too.

  16. very pretty Noel card! It's fun to decorate the house. I place Christmas cards and candles around the house, even though I don't celebrate Christmas. And I got a cold too and am home from work, after looking for my -ex's (and my) doggie with a wet head. Should have known better... {:-Deb
