aaah, but is the Spring weather coming with it? After another Nor'easter went by last week I'm a bit concerned. Just look at this:
When all was done after 24 hrs we ended up with just under a foot (about 30cm) of snow!! Thankfully hubby didn't have to go to work, and we never lost power though others weren't so fortunate. Thankfully the sun has been out since that day last Wednesday, quickly melting it away:)
Now for the fun stuff! First up, this card is meant for the Simon Wednesday Challenge (theme is Floral Frenzy):
Products: white cardstock; asst. washi tapes (Recollections); Altenew Painted Greetings, Peony Bouquet stamp and die set; Inks- Archival Leaf Green, Buttercup, Sunflower; Distress Mowed Lawn, Worn Lipstick; Colorbox Pink; Versafine Onyx Black; Moonshine sequins (Simon Says Stamp).
For T stands For Tuesday I'm going to share another wonderful dinner out with hubby, Kyra and Todd. We took them to Stefano's of course for the excellent food but also to see a fun band called Two Girls and a Sax. Enjoy the music while I share our meals:
House salads, fresh baked bread and dipping sauce along with merlot for the girls and beer for the guys
cheese steak boli and fries for Todd. He ended up getting three meals out of this huge stromboli- and it was the regular size!
a steak sandwich and fries for Bill- and he ate it all:)
I had the tortellini rustica which I've had before - yum!! Half went home...
and Kyra chose the cavatelli Calabrese (Bill had this before) and she loved it! Half went home with her too:)
Speaking of food I have a meal to share for Cast Iron Fridays hosted by Kathy:
This was our Sunday dinner. I made it before and it is SO yummy! Chicken breasts with roasted garlic, onion, red pepper, grape tomatoes and pesto. First time I made it on the grill but this time I tried it in the oven. Just as good! Here's the recipe. I only made some minor adjustments to mine.
Ok, enough food. How about a journal page?
watercolor background; gel plate deli paper prints cut into leaf and circle shapes, Pitt pen and paint pen doodles. Joining Art Journal Journey (theme is Spring) and Paint Party Friday.
One more card:
Sharing with Moo Mania and More (Easter theme), and the Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge #93 (Springtime/Easter). Products: white, purple, green card stocks; clear stamps - Showers and Flowers set (Simon Says Stamp); Inks: Fluid Chalk inks in Warm Violet, Gray Whale; Versafine Onyx Black; alcohol markers; Brick Wall stencil, pompom (Simon Says Stamp); Tim Holtz Thinlits Dies -Wildflowers; foam tape.
Here's to wishing you all a wonderful week and happy Passover or Easter if you celebrate either of those holidays!
" Dear Easter Bunny, this year could you please fill my eggs with health and happiness and deliver them to everyone I love. Thank you." unknown
Wow that's allot of snow, Hubs has some friends out on the east coast from his business-so much snow and on the first day of spring too-hope it all melts soon and no more snow.
ReplyDeleteI love your art the bunny is too cute and the food all looks amazing. Oh yum your cast iron dinner looks delicious
Happy T Day
thank you for linking up with cast iron fridays-Happy Easter weekend
DeleteNot only do have some great spring art today but you sure have a lot of yummy food photos. I didn't have a big dinner tonight and it's making hungry. I can relate to the snow too. Let's hope this last storm was the end of the nor'easters. AFterall, it is almost April. Hope you have a great T day and Easter weekend Linda. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteYour journal page is absolutely fabulous! I love it!!
ReplyDeleteWe got that Nor-easter as well. Spring will come soon I hope. That bunny card is adorable. Perfect for Easter.
And yummy food... I love stromboli!!
Happy Tea Day,
Kate
I am thrilled you are joining Kathy each week with your cast iron cooking. I hope to join in next week, but I have a friend coming from out of town in the morning to stay a few days, so I don't have time to join this week.
ReplyDeleteYou are always so busy and so crafty. I am always impressed. And of course, I am thrilled you joined us at Art Journal Journey, too.
What a fun night out you must have had and the food looks out of this world. I'll join the boys with beer, since Merlot tastes foul to me (sorry, just how my taste buds work). But I would love a stout!
Thanks for sharing your lovely cards, your Art Journal Journey entry, and your food and drinks with us for T this Tuesday. OK, nearly Tuesday!
ouch that snow is a bit out of control! we even had a weird out of season snow the other day here in seattle although it did not stick. i love your easter card and the journal page is pretty magical. and also, yum on the food! xo
ReplyDeleteGosh that much snow ! Unbelievable weather conditions for nearly April - can't remember that we had such a long winter here in our area as well.It is still soo cold even there were some sunbeams during the last days. I think the Easter Bunny will feel very cold this year!
ReplyDeleteYour Birthday card is such a beautiful design and good that I had already breakfast now ( here it's early in the morning) otherwise that fantastic food you had at Stefano's would made my mouth watery for sure! Amazing plates and wonderful music! And even more your fantastic iron cast Sunday dinner looks tempting! WOW! This "Each Day Counts" flowers page is simply AMAZING! - once again WOW ... you are such a talented artist Linda! Thank you very much for joining in with yet another fantastic page! You always make me happy with your terrific artwork! The lovely "You may be hoppy♥" card is so beautiful - a fantastic designed card - and this cute little tail is just so pretty! Thank you so much for showing it at Moo Mania & More dear Linda! You made my day!
Happy T-Day my friend!

Wonderful art and food - what a fantastic spread at that restaurant, yummy. Love your spring-themed floral art. And I hope that snow is soon a thing of the past. Here it's misty this morning, can't see out of the window! Happy T Day. hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteLovely snowy photos and best viewed from indoors where it is warm and cosy.
ReplyDeleteYour art pieces looked fabulous, those doodled flowers are beautiful and the Easter Bunny is so sweet.
Delicious food, you always seem to get large portions in the USA, so it must be lovely to be taking some home for another yummy meal.
Happy T day wishes Linda,
Yvonne xx
love the music, floral cards and page and easter bunny
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of snow, it seems winter just doesn't want to go this year but with your cute Easter bunny I think spring will be here soon 😁. Your meals looks lovely and I'd like the tortellini rustica and a beer please (grin! 😉). Great to see your yummy cast iron recipe and your journal page is so warm and cheery too! Happy T Day! J 😊
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen that much snow in a very long time... probably since childhood.. or maybe the years spent in Germany when i was in my 20's and i won't tell you how long ago that was...lol... So pretty.. except when you have to go to work in it huh?! Spring is here in the Ozarks (Arkansas) This being our third year here i notice they get alot of Spring rains here... they lower all the manmade lakes around here to prepare for the runoff and flooding... Used to think that was so weird but now i get it.. There have been many times i have been happy i live on a hill...! All that food has made me HUNGRY!!! Fortunately or Unfortunately i think i could have cleaned my plate..lol Yum! Love the simplicity of your journal page..circles...so pretty.. and your cards are cute too.. love the bunny! Stay warm! Happy T day! Hugs! deb
ReplyDeleteYour snow amazes me! It's totally outside our experience here (except for one year when we got a foot and a half or so about this time of year). This year is an outlier, it seems, and there's a possibility of snow in our forecast for next week. Freaky!
ReplyDeleteA night out with dinner and a live band is also outside my current life lol, as I am a night-time homebody. I loved your video making me feel like I was there :) I'd love your tortellini rustica. Great restaurant!
I gave my oldest son my cast-iron skillets, but I may have to pick up another one. I do miss it sometimes, but they're so _heavy_. Your chicken dinner looks tasty; thx for the recipe.
I especially like your cheerful Each Day Counts flower page. Happy T Tuesday!
Love your very pretty cards
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining us at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge this week.

fabulous food, cards and a journal page! love it all! wish the weather would realize it's time for the Easter bunny, though. Happy t day!
ReplyDelete♥
We were supposed to get that storm last week, but ours fizzled. Sorry the storm didn't fizzle for you. Temps are warming up this week so maybe the last 6 inches of snow cover will go away by Easter. Hope your snow melts quickly, too, but not too fast to flood a basement.
ReplyDeleteThat food looks so good. And I love having an awesome lunch for the next day.
Your floral card and floral page are lovely. Making me have a bout of Spring Fever. I especially love the bunny card, so cute. Have a Happy T Day!
That is a lot of snow! I think we had just enough in these parts to look pretty for a while! I love your floral card and your journal page! Those Altenew stamps do look so useful! I can see why you chose that day to go to Stefanos - good music and good food! Your Easter bunny made me smile when I first arrived here so it was good to seem him last of all too! Happy T day! Chrisx

Happy Passover or Easter to you as well. And happy T-day! Hugs, Eileen
Love the journal page and the cards are all lovely. I really need to get in the habit of making cards on a regular bases to have on hand. All of that food looks so good and now I'm in the mood for some good Italian.

ReplyDeleteFun post filled with beautiful art and yummy food! I love the bunny card in it's simplicity, and I just adore bunnies! Your journal page and floral card are sure signs of spring, although that snow is anything but! Wow, that's a lot of white! Hopefully, it's all melted away by now. Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteOh shiver, shiver. It looks just as white here! What is up with the weather this year. A white Easter must be quite unusual. But it's heart warming to see your beautiful Easter art!
ReplyDeleteThe bunny card is adorable! I love your journal page too. I hope you have an excellent Easter.
