Here are the full spreads:
July is typically a very hot month so I wanted to convey that with my choice of colors and theme. Here are the individual art pages:
For this page I painted bright acrylic paints all over the page then brayered some white gesso over it to soften it . painted the sun and added white gesso and charcoal pencil to the rays for more depth. "Sun kissed" is a clear stamp from studio g. I used this page for my new banner by stretching and cropping it to fit. My son thinks it looks a bit odd but I don't care;)
Joining Art Journal Journey one last time this month for the theme of "circles". Looking forward to the new theme in July.
here I used a deli paper gel plate print for the background. The three stencils I used are from Hobby Lobby. I LOVE using stencils on the Gel Plate along with deli paper! The photo is one I took in Cape May. The image is from a collage sheet by ARTchix Studio. The sentiment was written with paint pens. This particular page is for the Simon Monday Challenge ( stencil it).
The theme this past week for the Simon Wednesday Challenge is to "use patterned paper". I could work with this theme indefinitely and still not go through my paper stash!
This is the card, and envie:
For the card I used this pretty patterned vellum (Hobby Lobby) over a white note card. The Love die set is from Simon Says Stamp. I tried to match the envie by stamping with the Floral Shadow stamp set by Altenew, three dots from Magenta and frame from Stampa Rosa along with these inks: Onyx Black Versafine; Archival- Buttercup, Pink Peony, Leaf Green and Sky Blue; and Clearsnap Fluid Chalk ink in Warm Red.
I also have another coffee postcard:
Products: heavy card stock; text page; Coffee time stamp set (Darkroom Door); numbers stamp (Dylusions); postage stamp; Distress ink in Vintage Photo; Versafine Onyx Black ink; Archival Leaf Green, Turquoise inks; white gesso. Linking to T Stands For Tuesday and Try It On Tuesday (theme is numbers and/or letters).
Of course I'll also be joining Paint Party Friday this week!
Looking forward to watching the Tour De France cycling race which begins Saturday, July 1st and ends in Paris, France on July 21st. It's starting this year in Dusseldorf, Germany, going into Belgium, then Luxembourg before going into France. So excited to be watching the countrysides! What are your plans for July?
"The winds of grace are blowing all the time, but it is you that must raise your sails." Tagore
Oh, our June has been weird, I hope we'll get real summer days in July.

The colours are perfect on your calendar spread, they remind me of hot summer days and sunshine 😀. The vellum you used to create your card is so pretty and I'm loving your postcard too, it's perfect for T Day! Enjoy the Tour De France and wishing you happiness this T Day! J 😊
ReplyDeleteI love both your cards! They are lovely!
ReplyDeleteI adore the new blog header and entry for your summer inspired art journal. It's a beauty. I really like the vintage feel to the beach scene for your other calendar journal page. I could NOT believe that was a gelli background. It looked so well done, not all hodge podge that I get when I try to make a gelli plate piece.
ReplyDeleteI also simply adore both your cards. Of course, I'm totally in LOVE with your postcard. Wish I had that stamp. I would certainly put it to good use. You were SO lucky to win it.
Thanks for sharing your summer inspired art with us for T this week, dear Linda. You have made summer look so inviting.
Linda, I made a mistake. The date for the ATC exchange is July 18. You might want to revise your reminder.
ReplyDeleteoh, i´m becoming melancholy thinking half the year is over already... your artwork is so beautiful, i´m enjoying it every week! we already had quite a lot of summery days here, but for the next days a break is forecasted - and i´m looking happily Forward to some rain.
ReplyDeletehave a great time, xox
Happy T Day as well
ReplyDeleteLove Chrissie xx
These pages and your art positively sizzle!
ReplyDeleteSummer is my favorite season and your calendar captures the feel of hazy, hot and humid. I'd like to be admiring the sun set with the bathing beauty. And your take time to smell the coffee makes a clever use of the clock stamp. Have a Happy T Day
ReplyDeleteYour calendar is so wonderfully colorful Linda! And your card too! I've never played with vellum.... its on my to do list.. :) And you know i LOVE a postcard... what a great coffee theme!
ReplyDeleteYou know me... Summer cannot go by fast enough for me... I'm thrilled its almost July!!We are past the Summer Solstice... woo hoo!! Bring on Fall... I'll try to forget its still months away.....
I used to enjoy watching the Tour de France... but i lost interest with the whole fiasco of Lance Armstrong.... I used to cheer him on and was so proud of him and happy for him recovering from cancer and doing so well..I just haven't been interested since... but now you mention the scenery and i might have to give it another look... :) Happy T day! Hugs! deb
I like your take-time-to-smell-the-coffee card as I sit here with my cuppa :)
ReplyDeleteHappy T Tuesday!
lovely bright pages, love the quote and the coffee page too
ReplyDeleteI love your calendar and also your blog header. Typical summer.
ReplyDeletePatterned paper. What's not to love about that!
I love your card. Beautiful!
Tour de France already! I used to follow it (long long time ago in the days of Eddie Merkx). I haven't had a tv for many years now, so I haven't seen it. My son in Italy follows the Giro d'Italia, and the race usually comes past his house when they do the mountain stretches in Guardiagrele, Abruzzo.
Happy T-Day,
Lisca
