T Stands For Matcha Tea and Other Things
Hello Lovelies! Are you having crazy up and down weather like we are here in PA?? My body can't take this one day very warm, next day freezing cold and damp every week-ugh. But...
next week I will be MIA here while I enjoy a full week in Palm Beach Florida with dear friends!! I have never been to Florida and am SO looking forward to warmth, the beach, the water, and manatees! Everyone who knows me is saying I may not come back:):)
For T stands For Tuesday I will share the special tea that Susi mentioned on her blog. It sounded interesting and after reading up on it I bought some:
and I like it very much! Of course, I like green smoothies so I knew the color wasn't going to be a problem;) It has a mild herbal, grassy taste to me. I'm drinking it in my old world glass mug made by Nestle. One never knows what kind of inspiration you will find at Bleubeard and Elizabeth's T Stands For Tuesday, so come on by- you could be inspired by a recipe, a book, art, a beverage, a movie - you name it!
For the Simon Wednesday Challenge (theme is "Black, White and One Other Color") I have this card:
The sparkle on the patterned card stock does not show so here's a detail pic:
The card looks so much better in person. I made a few like this because I needed some masculine cards. Products: large white notecard, black, white, aqua card stock (Recollections); sparkle patterned card stock (DCWV); Spellbinders Wonky Rectangles dies; Our Daily Bread Designs birthday dies; Dot Sparklers sticker-Stampendous.
I have two simple abstract paintings/journal pages to share:
The yellow is Golden High Flow Quinacridone Nickel Azo Gold which I love!
The mood and colors of this page were inspired by the crazy weather we've been having. I am enjoying doing these simple abstracts so much that I decided to do a series of them using only a few colors, and one found word as my inspiration.
Joining Art Journal Journey (theme is "the colour yellow") with my first abstract, and sharing both with Paint Party Friday. Have a super week! I'll be around to visit...

Love the colors of Unsettled. Really beautiful color combination. Our weather is similar to what you have in PA. Snow yesterday and another round of snow/sleet/ice/rain for Wed. into Thurs. Do you need someone to carry your luggage for you when you go to FL? I can swear in 5 languages. 6 if you count Klingon. =^,.^= Happy T Day
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, I like your masculine card, always a hard one for me apart from my sons!
ReplyDeleteI love your art pages, I keep thinking I will start one but always seem to forget until I see one on here, ha,ha, enjoy your trip, I’ve never been to Florida but I think you will be guaranteed good weather.

I think I could retire happily to Florida :) I look forward to hearing how you like it. My hubby worries about hurricanes, but no place is perfect. This cold winter is getting me down lol I never had any of those mugs, but I remember them well. Nice!
ReplyDeleteI love your abstract works! I'm saving this page to remember for ATC inspiration in the future. Happy T Tuesday!
I haven't been to Florida either, so I am very excited for you! I hope you will show us photos.
ReplyDeleteOh I love your abstracts! beautiful! I'd love one on the wall!
Yes, that tea sounds interesting. I remember reading about it. And your cup is very special.
Happy T-Day,
Lisca
The weather here has been the same as yours :-/ I envy your trip to Florida♥♥♥ The tea looks interesting and I LOVE the mug.
ReplyDeleteHappy T Day!!!!
Carol
I am thrilled you get to visit FL in winter. It's not so sticky humid and bugs aren't as bad during that time of year. Can you tell I'm not a fan of FL (grin)? And it rains nearly every day, too, even if for only a few minutes.
ReplyDeleteYour masculine card is beautiful. Perfect manly colors, too.
I am in LOVE with your abstracts. They look professional. Did you take a class, or did you come up with the designs on your own? Is that mulberry paper in the blue abstract? Lots of questions, I realize. Thanks for sharing these beauties with us, especially the yellow one for Rike's theme at Art Journal Journey.
I also have one of those old world mugs. I hate to admit how old it is, though. OLD, for old world, I guess (grin). Thanks so much for sharing your fabulous matcha with us for T this Tuesday.
Wow, how exciting to be going to Florida! I'm sure you will love it 😁. Your cards and abstract pieces look beautiful! Enjoy your new tea and wishing you a Happy T Day! J 😊 x
ReplyDeleteWE have had all four seasons in the past two weeks......talk about up and down weather LOL!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous art.
Have fun in the sun
Happy T-day
Your artwork is lovely. And yes, the weather here is all over the map. We got lucky, and what they forecast to be 2" to 4" of snow was only a little bit of sleet, but that made the roads icy for the morning commute. Then the sun came out, and melted the remaining mess. Another "wintry mix" for Wed into Thur. I've been very lucky this winter, with the brunt of the storms either North or South of me, but I'm ready for Spring. I think there is snow in the long range week forecast, too. Ugh. Happy T-Day!
ReplyDeleteYour abstract paintings are amazing!! I lOVE the splash of color against the white background. Your matcha tea sounds wonderful. I really want to try this as tea. I have only every had a matcha smoothie.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your trip to Florida. With the crazy weather we have had I can imagine that the warm weather is calling your name.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate
I really like the abstracts you have created. I'll be waiting to see more colors.
ReplyDeleteLove these abstracts! I am sure you are going to enjoy Florida! I had a cousin who lived there who sadly passed away a few years ago! She was always telling us how great it was when she came to visit! Happy T Day! Chrisx
ReplyDeleteHow exciting. I will be in Florida next week too. I can really understand why you might not want to go back to this never ending winter. ANd you made some gorgeous collages this past week. Have a super trip south and have lots of fun and I hope it was a wonderful T day. Hugs-Erika

ReplyDeleteYour abstracts are simply gorgeous! Wow - you know how to use white space effectively. Great composition. I'm glad you'll be doing more. You told us the colors but not how you did these. Maybe next time? I really love them! I'd pay for a video course on your technique. <3 <3 <3

I love the abstracts very much! They are beautiful. The weather has indeed been different than usual. Climate destabilization is happening so fast...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful abstract and colors! THAT's a "consequence" of a winter weather craze we can all get behind :D
ReplyDeleteHi Linda. I am so glad you are enjoying some get away time where it is warm and sunny! I really like your cards, today. What a great idea for the abstracts...the one word on each. And you are right, we always need a couple of male themed cards!
ReplyDeletesure, weather is crazy uo here too. Even worse then what we call "aprilweather" constantly swinging.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite today are the Freedom :) Who does not want that?
Super post, Linda. Your artwork, as always, is superb. I love that Quinacridone colour, and it's reminded me I bought some iridescent gold ink a while back. I might try it on one of my mandalas. Oh, I love green tea. I drink lots of it.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you've caught a mood or feeling on paper--you have a rare talented. <3
ReplyDeleteBeautiful abstracts Linda :D)
ReplyDeleteInteresting about the tea, I'm keen to try it... enjoy your holiday! xx
Same kind of weather here too. Right now it is cold and rainy. Your art is fabulous.I love both of the abstracts.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great time in Florida. Love your painted collage abstracts!
ReplyDeleteWonderful card. I like the choice of aqua for the letters, looks wonderful on the black, yet not washed out on white. Beautiful play of colours in your journal pages.
