Hello Peeps, I am desperately trying to get back in the groove of things after an amazing week in the gorgeous sunny, warm weather and scenery that is Palm Beach!
Reality set in quite quickly with this:
Four inches of snow the day we returned, and another five plus inches overnight last night (very sad face).
I'm working on photos and editing but I have a few to share to give an overview:
Just several of the views from our friends' 16th floor condo. All windows had water views including our guest bedroom!! Positively breathtaking.
For T Stands For Tuesday I'll share our snacks and waters we were treated to upon our arrival. We had a most wonderful week!
I got my doggy fixes every chance I could get. Here along the marina I met Tillie (who gave lots of kisses:) and her owners who were heading to the Bahamas on their
One day we all went to Vero Beach to have lunch and visit friends we know from our beach vacations in Delaware. I'm with Bella who was anxiously waiting to get permission to go in the pool:)
On another day my friend Lynne and I went to a special exhibit while the guys went to a men's luncheon:
The Downton Abbey traveling exhibition was nearby in West Palm Beach!! I am such a fan and this exhibit did not disappoint. It was AWESOME!!! I took 175 pics-don't worry, I'm not posting them:):)
And last pic (in this post) of our trip:
Although I did NOT take art supplies as I wanted to take a break I did do lots of art before leaving, and this tag I made quickly today...
I printed out two contact sheet size pics from our vacation and glued them to the tag. The background was made by spraying water on Distress Oxide inks smooshed onto my craft sheet then dragging the tag over it. I used gold mica flakes in a few places. The sentiment is not only a favorite stamp, but also a very favorite sentiment of mine:):) Sharing my tag with Tag Tuesday (my favorite stamp); the Simon Wednesday Challenge (anything goes); and the Simon Monday Challenge (whatever the weather).
There is a new theme for this month over at Art Journal Journey " Hello Springtime" and for this I have this journal page:
I thought this would fit the theme with those vibrant colors and the couple dressed in Spring/Easter finery. This was a mop up page from other projects. Paper Dolls and Snarky Small Talk sentiments -Tim Holtz/Ranger.
Finally I'll share a calendar journal page from my Dylusions Creative Dyary:
I used some Dina Wakley paints and collage tissue faces; Tim Holtz Snarky Small Talk stickers, layering stencils- Honey Comb and Linen; scallop stamp (Inky Antics); black, white gel pens.
Joining Paint Party Friday also. And do pop in to visit the special 8th birthday celebration! Thank you dear EVA and Kristin for keeping us together every Friday to share our creativity. Mwah!!
Have a wonderful, creative week everyone!

Wow what a lovely week in a sunny state near the beach-and then to come to winter that would be very difficult for sure.
ReplyDeleteenjoyed all the photos, and I always love your art pieces
Happy T hugs Kathy
That is one amazing apartment. Wow, what a view. It sounds like you had an amazing trip. It is hard coming home to snow though, I can relate. Especially after some gorgeous Florida weather. Hope the pattern of snow ends soon. Happy T day. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteSuch a great Tag..great blog post, sounds like you had fun.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining us at Tag Tuesday x
What an amazing week you had, dear Linda. I can only imagine the warmth you felt while you were there. That's a beautiful tag and says it all, since I know how much you love the beach. No wonder it's a favorite tag.
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh at your darling Art Journal Journey page, too. We both used the same paper dolls, but your background was so much more clever than mine. Thanks for joining us for Jo's spring inspired theme at Art Journal Journey.
Of course, I am now hungry after I saw your shrimp cocktail, cheeses and fruit, crackers, and chocolates you had along with your water you shared for T this Tuesday.
I bet the beach was such a wonderful place to be during this harsh winter we have been having. The views are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAnd I am loving your journal pages.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate

Happy T-Day dear Linda and thank you very much for joining in at Art Journal Journey again - I love how you arranged the couple at the little stitched island with the loose threads and the quote for them is simply awesome!
We have a 2018 hostess button at the left sidebar at AJJ for you, if you want to grab it.
Hugs, Susi

What a fabulous vacation trip, Linda! The "back to reality" part is awful. But the memories you made and the gorgeous photos you took are forever. I never heard of the Downton Abbey traveling exhibit. I would love to see that. I love the show. We have all the DVDs.
ReplyDeleteVery cute beach tag. The ribbons look like palm fronds - clever.
Great pages! You sure got back into your creative groove quickly ;-)
Happy T-day! Eileen xx
Wow! That looks like a prime location! Looks wonderful, and the sunshine is a free extra. I can just imagine you having difficulty coming to terms with more snow on your return. I'm sure you had the most fabulous holiday.
ReplyDeleteThe Downton Abbey exhibit sounds great. I hope you will post some photos, though not all 175 of them. I would love to see it.
Your tag and journal pages are lovely. The result of a lot of pent up creativity no doubt.
Happy T-Day,
Lisca

That was such a contrast in weather. Lovely to see your holiday photos but I like the photo of the snow too (as we have not had any at all).

Looks as though you packed a lot into your holiday! It looks like a great place to visit, especially when you meet up with friends!! Sorry about the snow on your return though!

Beautiful photos of sunny Florida. Althought I have to admit I love snow. ;) But sometimes, especially in spring, I can understand people want to get rid of it. Happy PPF!
ReplyDeleteIt would be great to live in warmer place from November till February but right now it's too much hassle..So, right now I enjoy light - we have almost 12 hours daylight...so cool!
ReplyDeleteps. sometimes I have problems with my mouth too. Specially if somebody asks my opionion - I'm too honest :)
