Celebrate It All!

So much excitement! The Tour de France is continuing in full force, Bastille Day (French Independence Day) was celebrated on the 14th, and France won the World Cup- after 20 years!! Best of all my Mom has been in France to enjoy it all along with celebrating she and her sister's birthdays in the mix!! I was there, in a way - more on that later:):)

And here's to another special celebration- over at Altered Book Lover hosted by Bleubeard and Elizabeth. Happy 5 years to T Stands For Tuesday!!! Elizabeth, you are an amazing blogger  and hostess-thank you, and congratulations!

The candles are all lit and it's time to party!

Here is another card related to the "T" theme which I am also sharing with the Simon Monday Challenge (add a little sparkle):

I used an actual tea bag for this card:) Sorry for the bad pic-couldn't get rid of the bluish tint. It is a white card and the background paper is white too. Speaking of Simon Says Stamp- have you seen the new August 2018 Card Kit they put together? It is awesome- and it will be arriving at my door soon!!!

For Moo Mania and More(theme is butterflies) I have this ATC:

The tag card in my last post inspired me to make a group of ATCs using the same products and design- Ranger/ Tim Holtz.

 A journal page:

A partial detail photo is at the top of this post. If I remember correctly, Eileen, a multi talented regular participant of T stands For Tuesday sent me some of her homemade washi tape - a bit of which I used here (beautiful...yes). So pretty! I used the credit card swiping method for the background along with a baby pink and neon pink acrylic paint. Washi tapes, dictionary page, tissue paper, rubber stamp sentiment, postage stamp, charcoal pencil, and Caran d'Ache water soluble crayons were used. Linking to Art Journal Journey ( Art For Art's Sake), Paint Party Friday, and Try It On Tuesday (Add a Quote).

That's it for this week. My Mom is returning home later in the week after a month in France so I have much to do to prepare for her return. Have a super and creative week-I'll be around to visit and see what you've been up to:)

  4. Your mother was in France at the absolute perfect time. I suspect she is very happy.

Goodness Linda, you have gone all out for us today. I love how the candles are lit and we are truly in party mode. Beautiful five year tribute, too.

I also really enjoyed the teabag treatment. I LOVE how you sewed it in place.

Your journal page is so pretty and colorful. I like how you pulled the various techniques into play for Chris's theme at Art Journal Journey. I really am thrilled you shared it with us at AJJ, too.

And most of all, I love the party you put on for our 5th anniversary at T this Tuesday.

  11. Such beautiful artwork here Linda i hardly know what to comment on.. First of all that quote at the top of the post is one of my favorite! And what a fantastic and appropriate card with 5 Tcups and candles! That ATC with the flowers and butterfly really grabbed me too. Gorgeous.. i absolutely love mixed media but i'm so constrained in my artwork i find it difficult to do.. I love the look of it but i find it hard to color outside the lines i guess is what i mean. But i sure do love yours. Happy 5th Anniversary T day hugs! deb

  16. Your Mum must have really enjoyed being there at this time - the French know how to celebrate! I love your cards for T Day's birthday! Your ATC is a little gem - must get around to finishing what I started! As for the journal page - I love how you used those elements to create it...and there can't be many more satisfying techniques than dragging paint across a page with a faux credit card! Thank you so much for linking to both Art Journal Journey and Try It On Tuesday! Today's Tour went through some lovey scenery and of course I loved seeing Brittany - a reminder of camping holidays when the boys were young!!! Happy T Day! Chrisx
