This And That

How are you all? Here we have finally gotten away from a long heat wave and it is delightful to be outdoors again. Being inside allowed me to play more in my art room though:)
This tag card is meant for Tag Tuesday (theme is floral) and  Try It On Tuesday (things with wings).  Scalloped tag card is from the Paper Cut; tissue wrap, paper dolls, botanical, Small Talk sticker- all Tim Holtz; Ranger Stickles glitter glue.

Heatwave or not I must have my hot coffee first thing in the morning!

and this is usually where I can be found Tuesday mornings:)  Hats off to Bleubeard and Elizabeth and friends at T Stands For Tuesday which will be celebrating 5 years next week. And all are welcome to join anytime!

Here are my completed calendar spreads for June:

For the Simon Monday Challenge this week (Summer Fun) I have this journal page:

The background is a gel print on deli paper. Vintage image and collage sheet sentiment (ARTchix Studio), printed vellum (unknown), washi tapes (Recollections).

And for the fun of it I did this page using some paint, magazine clippings and a white gel pen:

Oh how I love sitting outside under the stars in the summer while sipping a glass of wine...

Joining Art Journal Journey (Art For Art's Sake), and Paint Party Friday.  Have a wonderful week ahead! I'll be around to see what you all are up to, and in between I'll be visiting France via chairside watching the Tour de France:) A bientôt!

  6. You always pack so much into your posts, it's a bit hard to figure out where to begin. Your tag is beautiful and I simply adore the paper doll you used.

Your calendar pages are fabulous. I think they are all very artistic and beautiful.

I am in awe of your collage for Art Journal Journey. I love to make collages from magazine images, and this is not just fun, it is funny, too. Thanks for sharing it at Art Journal Journey.

Of course, I felt so pleased when I saw Bleubeard's face on your blog. I'm sure he was as pleased as I, although he might have chosen a different mug (grin). Thanks for sharing your art, your calendar pages, and your doggy mug filled with coffee with us for T this almost Tuesday.

  7. Linda, just saw your question about the wall at the back of the reserved area. This is an art gallery as well as a restaurant. Those are not stencils, but hand made tiles, each fired individually. I was impressed with their perfection and how well they each appeared to fit together seamlessly.

Thank you for sharing the beautiful tag with us at Try it on Tuesdays.
I have my chair in position to watch Le Tour as well, although this week I am watching the tennis from Wimbledon as well, so they get shared viewing time.
Happy T day wishes, I liked the mug you were using for your coffee today.
