Well hello! Look at me posting twice this week;) I don't know how some of you post several times a week, and some of you daily! This week I just had a lot going on, creating things for many challenges so let's get to more of them shall we?
First up is a journal page made for the Art Journal Journey challenge which I am hosting this month with the theme of "Creature Comforts". You can read the description and see lots of inspiration here. And do join us won't you? Nothing brings comfort in the fall like a warm quilt, and fall foods-like pears. I stitched the pear images to the background page and used a Tim Holtz Occasions sticker.
For the Simon Monday Challenge (Cityscape) I have this card:
Products: white notecard; patterned paper; Tim Holtz layering stencil- Rays and Small talk Occasions stickers; Hero Arts rubber stamp-International Skyline; postage washi tape (unknown); Versafine Onyx Black ink; Archival Buttercup ink; tiny heart (Doodlebug Design Inc.).
For Tag Tuesday(Bunting or Flags) and the Simon Wednesday Challenge (Anything But a Card) I made this:
Products: manila tag (Ranger); patterned paper and twine from my stash; garland (Studio Calico); girl and sentiment (Muse News Stamp set(designed by Andrea Ockey Paar for Inky Antics); Peerless watercolors; Versafine Onyx Black ink; Archival Pink Peony ink; gel plate print from my stash; sequin waste; rub on letters (Making memories); Tim Holtz mini stapler.
And finally I have another journal page meant for Try It On Tuesday (Black, White and 1 Other Color) and Paint Party Friday:
I was playing with my black and grey Marabu art sprays thru a stencil on this page and left it a few days- and then the Try it on Tuesday challenge appeared along with my new Andrea Ockey Paar stamps (LOVE!) and I just had to play along:)
I find that challenges like these keep me fresh, on my toes, and even out of my comfort zone at times, what about you?
Have a fabulous upcoming weekend! I hope all that were somehow in Hurricane Michael's path have fared well through its destructive path. Thanks for popping in!

I am in awe of your beautiful autumnal quilt!Fabulous made - I love the sewing ! A pretty page for your theme! Your cityscape-card and the lovely artsy girl tag - both so pretty Linda and the page for Try It On Tuesday is wonderful! Thank you for linking to TioT and posting even twice this week for AJJ!
ReplyDeleteYes it is not easy to post on a daily base! I never manage this, but I have to post for the challenges always when they go online - but I keep my postings short- otherwise I would get crazy...lol.
Have a great weekend dear Linda
Hugs,Susi

ReplyDeleteFabulous artworks!
ReplyDeleteHi, Linda. Wonderful work as always. Your creativity is so inspiring. I used to have three blogs on the go, book reviews, freelance writing and one for rants. I posted on each one two or three times a week. It was extremely hard work along with the other writing I was doing at the time. I take a more relaxed approach these days.
ReplyDeleteSuper projects
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful! How creative you are! :D
ReplyDeleteyour quilt-like artjournal page is looking terrific. You're right: there's nothing like a challenge to keep you fresh and on your toes ;-) Your tag looks great, but I especially like your black & white journalpage with the touch of yellow, and the perfect quote. Happy PPF!
ReplyDeleteI am glad the challenges help you step out of your comfort zone, because these are just lovely. The autumn quilt card exudes warmth. The rays behind the cityscape made me think of morning. I love your artsy girl. The last card is beautiful and a quote I should definitely keep in mind. Happy creating!

Patchwork perfection Linda, I love the thought of this actually being turned into a real size quilt like an heirloom comfort in itself.
ReplyDeleteYour tag and journal page are fabulous, I love the words relating to the light shining through the cracks, seems very apt for the day.
