Holiday Wishes
Well peeps, ready or not and regardless of which holiday(s) you celebrate they are truly upon us now! Cookie baking is all I have left to do;) How are you doing with everything?
The above journal page is in my Dylusions Creative Dyary Journal and meant for Try it On Tuesday (Christmas is Coming), and Art Journal Journey (Words and Numbers). I added some extra color and stamping on the printed background then used paper scraps, stickers and bits from my Christmas stash.
This is where I spent much time the last two weeks making and addressing cards that needed to get out:
I had my coffee to keep me going in this cute Christmas mug along with a variety of Christmas music playing. Fa la la la la and cheers to the T Stands For Tuesday gang!
For the 'Year Of Gratitude' Challenge hosted by Ranger Ink and Dina Wakley(you can read more about it here) There are two random drawings each month for a prize package of Ranger/Dina Wakley products. I have won one already and they are very generous!!
The prompt for December is "I am grateful for creativity" and here is my journal page:
And a detail pic:
This was done on a kraft page in the Dina Wakley Media Journal and I used Dina Wakley paints, images from her Collage Collective Book, and Collage Tissue Words.Sewn and layered with ephemra from my stash.
And finally, more loose watercolor practice- this wreath inspired by Andrew Geeson which I will share with Moo Mania and More (Anything Goes), and Paint Party Friday:
I may be taking a bit of a blogging break from Christmas Day through New Year's Day so whatever you celebrate, whatever you will be doing, I wish you love and a most joyous holiday and Happy, Happy New Year!
" Christmas is forever, not just for one day. For loving, sharing, giving, are not to be put away." Norman Wesley Brooks

or some reason my comment wouldn't post-not sure if it finally went through or not.
ReplyDeleteLoved your art pages this week-Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
and Happy T wishes Kathy
Beautiful banner! I am so boring on that one, but I just can´t let go of the Little Giant Girl!
ReplyDeleteSince we have no kids Christmas is just... a few days off. But I looove red and green hence we have a lot of Christmas deco all year round here, does that count?
A very beautiful card that is! No. Those are!
A Happy T-Day, blogging break, Christmas and a Happy New Year, for you, too!
Beautiful art. Congrats on your win. Have fun over the holidays, enjoy your break. Happy T Day, Valerie
ReplyDeleteFirst, I want to thank you for the lovely card you sent. My mail doesn't come until about 4:30 pm, so it was too late to show it this week. However, I will show it in the new year, since you will be gone next week.
ReplyDeleteSecond, I love that Deck the Halls journal page you gave us. The numbers were so subtle, I almost missed them. I think I focused on the curtains in the house and the candy cane trees! It's an adorable entry for Yvonne's theme at Art Journal Journey.
Another one of your fabulous entries that make me smile was the one with the tag on it. It was incredible. I love it.
Your watercolors are beautiful. I don't think I could EVER make anything that lovely.
Your Christmas mug is quite festive and I love how you show what you were making when you had your coffee. Addressing envelopes is a pain, and that is why I typed everything this year (grin). Thanks for sharing your incredible art and your coffee and Christmas cards with us for T this Tuesday, dear friend.
Congrats on the Ranger win. It is always exciting to win something, isn't it? Loving all your beautiful artwork this week. You have been busy but all the holiday art is a lot of fun. At least for me so I guess for you. I hope you have a wonderful T day and a great week ahead. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the win Linda! AMAZING artwork as always here!
ReplyDeleteHappy break for you!
Merry Christmas!!
Big hugs and thank you for joining the challenges!!!

I'm trying to get Christmas cards out. Your creativity page is so sunny. Congrats on your win. Lovely wreath, too. Have a Merry Christmas 🎄 and a Happy New Year. 🎆
ReplyDeleteI still have a couple of pies to make, but that'll come closer to time. I love this season :) and your festive mug and Christmas carols warm my heart. I love your journal page, so bright! And the watercolor wreath looks like a Christmas card. I hope you enjoy your Christmas break. Happy T Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteLove your journal pages, Linda. It looks like you have a nice spot to address and make your cards with your cup of coffee. Is that the Cat in the Hat inside. I couldn't quite make it out, but that is what it looks like. I might be taking a blogging break, too. I am thinking I need to sort out my commitments and priorities. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteGreat page, I love that background and the house in the middle is fantastic. Thanks for joining us at the Try it on Tuesday's challenge. Hugs, MarÃa.
ReplyDeleteMore gorgeous art to drool over, Linda. I love your pages and the lovely Happy Birthday die - it's nice to see that someone else has succumbed to the lure of gorgeous word dies! They are SO useful in places where you can't stamp!
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining Try it on Tuesday's Christmas is coming challenge.
I wish you a VERY happy Christmas, lots of family time, rest and love - and a happy and healthy 2020! (Still can't quite believe we're approaching 2020! LOL) Be happy!

I love your art pages, they are very.colourful. I’ve made my Christmas cakes today and mince pies so I only have sausage rolls to make next week.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful Christmas and a very happy new year

And I am glad you linked up that great art piece at Try It On Tuesday also Linda. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteWonderful artwork. And I love your blog header image. Happy belated T-Day!
ReplyDeleteDoesn't it feel good to have Cristmas under control so you can actually enjoy it? I still have handmade gifts to make. They're just little candles to give to friends who live near. This feels good - I hope I can repeat it next year.
ReplyDeleteI love your "Christmas is Coming" page. Congratulations on winning the Ranger/Wakley products! What fun. This page for the year of gratitude challenge is a lot bolder than the series you started this year (I think). You know the series I mean? The one I love. This style is very distinctive and recognizable to me. Right away I know, "It's a Linda Kunsman piece."
Happy T-day! Eileen xx
wonderful jornuals with Christmas !!!
ReplyDeleteAll made fascinating!
I don't need to do anything anymore for the festive season, everyone is getting cozy!
Have nice Day, Elke

I always love your blog posts Linda! I love the Journal page for your Try It On Tuesday entry! Thank you so much for joining us! I love the Christmas mug! It's just about the only nod to Christmas around here - I fear we made a mistake thinking we could leave the sale of our caravan till so close to Christmas! Love the creativity piece too! Belated Happy T Day! Chrisx
ReplyDeletePretty wreath.
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays!
Hi Linda :)) I love your journal pieces, but that loose watercolour is GORGEOUS!!! Enjoy your little blogging break and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!! xx
ReplyDeleteHello Linda. I always love reading your blogposts with so much creativity and colour. Your AJJ piece makes me smile, it is so happy and pretty. I love the second piece too where the tag looks as if it is flying through the colour field.
ReplyDeleteAnd a gorgeous watercolour wreath which could come out as a framed picture every Christmas, just a thought!
Have a great rest of the year and a wonderful year ahead.
"Art is your story! Nice! I am not a fan of the holidays anymore. After running if for family for so many years I got tired. I´m jsut taking it easy hoping for some snow making the world white again. :)
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Linda. :)
I like your watercolor wreath best - really captures the season! Hope you holiday is magical and I'll see you in the new year!!
