Hi peeps, how are things? For those of us celebrating Thanksgiving Day this Thursday will you be busy cooking and baking? I know I will but just for a small gathering including my Mom, our son and daughter in law, and her grandmother. Of course hubby's a given but he'll be helping me by staying out of the kitchen the next few days😄. Fortunately there is no lockdown around us and we are able to enjoy the day with some family. Wishing you all a happy Turkey Day🦃!
For T Stands For Tuesday I have one last beverage related photo from our last visit to Cape May to share:
And I created this abstract page for Art Journal Journey (theme is All Kinds Of Weather), (edited in> along with the new theme at Try It On Tuesday (which I just saw is the theme of "winter wonderland"):
I started by gluing a few torn pieces of colored tissue paper to the page then random scribbling with a Stabilo All pencil. Lastly I painted with a burgundy, dark blue and turquoise and then dry brushed some white over it before spattering and adding the words.
The next 3 pages are also in the kraft journal. There is another Creative Six Day Challenge happening on Instagram and I again wanted to join in. Here are the word prompts:
Day 2 - Harvest
Day 3 - Abundance
I'll share the last three in my next post after I complete them.
Joining in with Paint Party Friday later in the week. Have a super week everyone!

That looks like a great breakfast!

Hi Linda I am so thankful we live in a state with no lockdowns, and we have low covid numbers as well. It is just the two of us for Thanksgiving. I love turkey so I brought home the smallest one I could find and will make very light sides to go with and will make a couple pies-
ReplyDeleteYour art is always inspiring loving the last piece especially.
Happy T and Thanksgiving Hugs Kathy
Yummy looking breakfast!
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing all your journal pages for your challenge. Great prompts.
Happy Tea Day and Happy Thanksgiving,
Kate
It sounds like you will be busy getting a meal prepared Linda. WE are going to my sister-in-laws and sharing the day with her family as well as my MIL, since otherwise it would just be my husband and myself. I do miss making some of the standards for dinner though, but I am guessing we will get some left overs to bring home. and you shared some lovely art today. Thanks for sharing that piece for Art Journal Journey. It definitely feels like snow spirits. I'm not sure I am ready for winter yet though-smile. I wish you a happy T day, week ahead and Thanksgiving Linda. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteHmmmm, the food looks yummy!
ReplyDeleteOh, wish I could live after your tag. Here... the other way round. Just thinking (learning), no doing.
Day 1... empty offices, sadly, "Corinna" strikes again.
Day 2 - love! As day 3, clever. And great quote, happy T-day!
Fabulous art and food! Love the wonderful journal pages for the challenges, and of course, the gorgeous tag for Tag Tuesday, thanks so much. Have a great day, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteI can see why you like that restaurant. Such great prices. Most are even better than Wichita prices, at least for breakfast. Thanks for sharing your veggie wrap and potatoes (which are making me hungry) for T this Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of food, it sounds like we will both be doing a lot of cooking in the next two days. I start on Wednesday, so I can certainly agree and empathize with you. I won't be baking, though.
You have been very busy making art, too. I love the abstract winter scene you created for Art Journal Journey. And that challenge you joined sounds wonderful. You certainly created some beautiful pages for it. Thanks for sharing your art and your meal and coffee with us for T this Tuesday. Happy Thanksgiving, too.
Great art, Linda. Hard to pick a favorite but that feather speaks to me. Such great colors and textures on all your creations.
ReplyDeleteSuper looking food - now I want to make a breatkfast wrap....and I want some fried potatos too!
Happy Thanksgiving and I hope you enjoy your time with family and the good food. Happy T-day too. Hugz
You are busy. It sounds like it will be a great gathering. The more, the merrier I always say.
ReplyDeleteYour breakfast at the restaurant looks really yummy.
I love your journal pages, and I like the idea of the challenge. Of course I always like your quotes. I don't know where you find them all, but they are always good and sometimes profound and most of the time very true.
Happy T-Day,
Have a great week,
Hugs
Lisca
Your comment about your hubby helping by staying out of the kitchen and out of your way made me laugh. Himself has the same orders along with nothing to be eaten out of the fridge or pantry unless you ask permission first! 😺 Your journal pages are awesome and I love the way you interpreted the challenge prompt. Harvest is my favorite. Happy T Dats
ReplyDeleteThat breakfast wrap is making my mouth water, it looks delicious! Happy T Tuesday
ReplyDeleteYou are so talented my friend. Nice you were able to go out to eat too. My favorite today is "rooted in" Brilliant.
ReplyDeleteThe veggie wrap looks delicious and just like you I always pick out the crunchy potatoes and leave the rest - no way could I eat that many potatoes.
ReplyDeleteYour artwork is beautiful and I love what you did with the challenge words. Very creative - I love the watercolor for "abundance".
Gorgeous tags Linda.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday
Much💛love
Lovely journal pages and tag. Enjoy your Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pages. The crunchy bits are my favorite too.
ReplyDeleteYour breakfasts look great. Pleased to know that you can celebrate Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteI love the page you have made for Art Journal Journey and for Try It On Tuesday. I still haven't had much opportunity to play with my new Dina Stamps(only because we keep going out!) I love the way you use her products - the Community one is my favourite. Belated Happy T Day, Chrisx
