Dream a Little Dream

How is everyone this week? Having good weather? I for one will only say that (as the snow continues to fall and temperatures plummet again) I am dreaming a little dream that we can get through one week without a snowy mess! Thanks so much to all of you for your healing thoughts about my recent health issues. Although things are not perfect I am feeling much better than I did.

I managed yet another journal page inspired by  several techniques in Dina Wakley's book including the section on altering photos. Linking to Art Journal Every Day, Art Journal Journey (theme this month is "things with wings", and Paint Party Friday.

Been working on a few St. Patrick's Day projects-just some ATCs and postcards. Here's a simple ATC:

The background is a gelli plate print. The rubber stamp is an old one (one of many) I inherited from a very dear old departed friend, who happened to be Irish :)  It's made by Ann-ticipations. Linking this to the Simon Monday Challenge Blog (theme is "just a hint of clover" ).

I'm also beginning some sketches for the first class in Radiant Faces so I'll be sharing those  in my next post.

Wishing everyone a happy, art filled weekend!

The sun is shining on our largest snowfall of the season also making the record for cold...but warmer weather is right around the corner...hope it finds you soon as well.
Four day weekend for the kids this weekend.

  15. oh i luv the Irish piece and the little jewel to add flair

thanks for dropping in to and leaving such a nice comment at my blog today

    much love...

  16. Dina's books are a great source if inspiration for me too. Haven't tried this technique yet but will do so soon. Glad you are feeling better but sorry about all that snow. Here it begins to feel like Spring might make her arrival very soon.

  17. Love your art. I'm singing: I'm dreaming of a green Easter, to the tune of White Christmas! As soon as we get rid of a snowfall or sometimes before it's gone, here comes another wave of the white stuff. Everyone around here seems depressed with the cold and confinement.

  18. I loved the page with the lady. Black and white image against the bright colors pop up.

  19. I'm glad to hear you're feeling better. I love the colors and imagery of your first piece. Blessings!

  20. lovely work this week, and I hope spring is starting to turn up... mind you if it doesn't I can pop over and bring some snow melting to you courtesy of my hot flashes!!! it would be no problem at all and I it would be quite nice to enjoy a cup of tea together!

  21. Nice pieces this week. Ah yes, dreaming of spring and wondering if it will ever actually happen. Can winter go on forever? I hope not. Lucky you to inherit those fun Irish themed stamps. How perfect for this time of year. have a great weekend.

  22. Love your beautiful ATC. The colors and texture are awesome. Thank you so much for sharing with us at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. :)

  23. Hope the weather turns soon for you Linda...glad there is a bit of a health improvement. I know how debilitating it can get! Sweet tribute to the irish and love the dream too!! Enjoy your weekend...and hope you see more health improvement!

    Hugs Giggles
