Another week has flown by and look what happened since last week:
To my delight and surprise the sparrow that made her nest in my flower basket produced two more eggs! I do hope I'll get to see them grow. We also have a catbird nest in our forsythia but unfortunately it is so tucked in and high that I'm not able to get close enough for a pic.
Got a surprise packet in the mail last week too:)
I won some "blog candy" from the Simon Says Stamp blog- a stamp, some white stickers, a pkg of 10 pretty shimmering note cards, and a hand made card which is delightful!
Managed to get two journal pages completed too and this is how I managed to work now that my art room is a temporary office:
Back to the kitchen table! Let's say that I am getting lots of extra steps in by having to go up and down the stairs with everything. Of course I go to the room quietly for something only to come back downstairs without something else I needed- lol! The 9" x 12" page I was working on at the table became this:
Too many supplies were used to list however I did use Dylusions stamps, Dina Wakley model stamp, Ellen Hutson stamps, stencils and a bunch of colors. If you have any ? about a specific stamp or color I'll try to answer. Joining in with Art Journal Journey (elegance and grunge); Paint Party Friday; and Tag Tuesday(anything goes).
My next page:
I finally got to use those awesome Darkroom Door stamps I won not too long ago! I'm currently working on some coffee themed postcards too:)
Products: Darkroom Door Coffee Time stamp set; Neenah Classic Crest 110lb smooth Solar White card stock-LOVE this card stock!!; patterned card stock; corrugated cardboard scrap; crocheted lace; die cut flowers and leaves with sparkle ( I think these came from one of the TSFT gals but I can't remember); Stickles Diamond Glitter glue (on the lace); foam adhesive; Distress inks- Tea Dye, Vintage Photo; Versafine ink-Vintage Sepia; Spellbinders Wonky Rectangles dies; Sizzix Tim Holtz Thinlits 660220 (used on the patterned paper).
This is also for Art Journal Journey and Paint Party Friday, along with the Simon Wednesday Challenge (A Bit of Sparkle), and T Stands for Tuesday.
For the new theme of "Little Critters" at the Simon Monday Challenge Blog and for Try It On Tuesday "Feathered Friends" I made this postcard:
Products: 140 lb. watercolor paper; white card stock; Scribbly bird and sentiment stamps-Dina Wakley; Inks: Jet Black, Pink Peony, Turquoise, Buttercup, Magenta-Archival; Distress Vintage Photo ink; washi tape; Tim Holtz stencil. The background is hand made tissue tape and in case you missed it you can find my tutorial in this post.
See you during the week ahead. Hope you all get to enjoy some creative time!

Love all your creations and wonderful message with your coffee creations and love the photo of the eggs in the nest ~ you are so creative and productive ~ love it all ~ thanks,
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend ahead ~ ^_^
WOW. You may have been relegated to the kitchen table, but your art has blossomed. I haven't seen so much art from you in a long time. And of course, it is all quite wonderful, too. I often find I need things I have stored in the basement studio, then when I get back to the main floor craft room, I realize I haven't gotten everything I needed. Now I try to make a list when I'm on a mission to create a specific page.
ReplyDeleteI adore the AJJ entry and the tiny feathered friends. They are beautiful and colorful, too.
I think my favorite is your coffee entry. It is gorgeous, and I am in awe of the stamping and the background. Even the corrugated cardboard adds to the piece.
Thanks for sharing your wonderful art with us, the new bird eggs, your latest win, and your coffee page with us for T this week.
You always have such great art weeks Linda. Nice collection this week too. I guess all the walking up and down the stairs got more than just your blood flowing but got your creativity flowing too. Hope its a fantastic T day. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteyou are a queen of stamping and Card making - no matter to which place you are limited! i´m also a fan of stencils, they give so nice texture to the Background.
ReplyDeletehappy t-day, linda!
Your kitchen table seems to be giving you lots of inspiraton. You made some really beautiful pieces!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to win someting and get all that blog candy in the post. I'm sure you will make good use of it.
I happened to notice the Willow Tree figurines in the background. Happines and Lots of Love if I am not mistaken. I got some 'angels' given to me when I had cancer and I still have them on my bedside locker. I love them.
Happy T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca
Love the sparrow's nest. Hope we'll get to see the babies, too (-; Your work area is so tidy. I'd have everything scattered all over the place. I really liked your coffee card. I love the smell of coffee though I'm not fond of the taste. Happy T Day!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful art work Linda!! LOVE the coffee page *grin*
ReplyDeleteThere was a hiccup in the escrow, so now I'm breathing easier, but still packing. Yes, my faith is strong in my God and I totally trust Him to take me to the next step.

Oh I really love your art today Linda!!! I can relate to your space restrictions.. even now I still share a craft area with Bob and his collections. Oh and we can't forget the lizard I inherited when the youngest move back out. Seems be keeps forgetting to take it to his new house. LOL!Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving such kind words.

Some beautiful artwork Linda! I've been living in cramped crafting areas too... but with the craftroom completion (soon) I hope to spread my wings... Hopefully your situation won't last too long... Happy T day!!! So sorry for the late visit! Hugs! deb
ReplyDeleteLots of gorgeousness to see and thank you so much Linda especially for the 2 fantastic pieces for AJJ :) both so different - love them both but as its hot, sunny and the birds singing here, I think the cheery colours of the first piece was my favourite.
ReplyDeleteExciting news about the additional eggs in the nest - hope it all goes well for the birds.

Love your pieces, they're always such happy and bright works.
Yes, the only way to think of all that walking up and down stairs is the exercise component... your kitchen table looks so organised and neat. Cheers now and enjoy the coming week :D)
