Well, here we are into the next holiday and another year soon ending. I have just begun getting my card list and ideas together. How about you?
We spent a very small quiet Thanksgiving at home. It wasn't the same without my Mom (who went to my one brother's place for the first time) or Aunt Betty who is back in the hospital and not doing so well. But it was nice to have our son and his girlfriend with us. And I'm sharing my glass of wine with friends over at T Stands For Tuesday. Bring along your beverage of choice and enjoy a visit won't you?
One last entry for Art Journal Journey hosted this month by Chris with the lovely theme of "101 Ways To Keep Warm" Thank you Chris!:
I painted this snowman, er, woman over the weekend (inspired by a you tube video). She looks quite happy probably because of the earmuffs and scarf. Who's to say a snowman doesn't get cold too? The words were added digitally and she is sitting on a mound of snow that is all glittery but I wasn't able to capture it.
I also made this tag meant for the Simon Monday Challenge (Star Light, Star Bright theme), and Tag Tuesday (Anything Goes with a bit of lime green):
Products: manila tag; paints; gesso; star sequin waste; Tim Holtz Paper Dolls, Small Talk Occasions Stickers; Versafine Onyx Black ink; In Stitches clear stamp set (Whimsy Stamps); silver star sticker (Stickopotamus); washi tape (Recollections).
I am so hoping this post looks ok and the photos are clear. Windows 10 did another automatic update and now my views are all askew and very wide, along with other things messed up :( Will get my tech support (aka son Todd) to help me out soon.
I have a very busy week or so ahead but will be around to visit. Thanks for stopping in! A bientôt.

Your AJJ entry is fabulous. Simply incredible. You drew a fabulous snowlady. You can truly be proud of her, and she'll never melt, either!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great tag. Aren't those paper dolls the best? I adore the tag you made and that's one of my favorite colors, too.
Thanks for sharing your wine with us, along with your incredible art for T this soon to be Tuesday. Good luck with your Windows update. SO glad I opted for a different operating system!
Hi Linda, yes I got a couple things in the mail today for my card making and soon will put together my list. Lovely photo with the wine. Love your newest art pieces too-have a good week
ReplyDeleteHappy T Day Kathy
I think it sounds like a wonderful Thanksgiving and hopefully AUnt Betty is soon better. I love the snowman. The touch of pink is fantastic. Makes him a little retro and a little more soft and cuddly. have a fabulous T day Linda. Hugs-Erika

I can't believe that we are nearly at the end of this year already, how time flies when you are having fun ...lol 😉 So glad you had a nice Thanksgiving too. I've made my Christmas cards and they are all written and waiting to be posted, can you tell that I like to be organised ...lol 😀. Loving your snowman and tag today too - wonderful! Happy T Day! J 😊
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed a lovely Thanksgiving with your son and GF. The wine looks inviting.
ReplyDeleteYour snow woman/man looks great. I don't blame her/him listening to some good music while standing out there in the cold.
Your tag and dancing fairy is beautiful.
No, I haven't thought about Christmas yet. I keep putting it off as I am not keen on Christmas.
Happy T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca
Your art is wonderfully fitting for the festive season - your lime green make a wish tag is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYour snowwoman looks a lot more cheery than I would be. I don't like the snow and cold. She looks very stylish with her earmuffs and scarf. the tag is adorable, too. The little ballerina in her fluffy tutu reminds me of dandelion fluff. Have a Happy T Day
ReplyDeleteI like both of your new art pieces. I don't care for snow in person but always think it looks great in photo's. Sounds like you are gearing up for the next holiday. Time is flying by at our house.
ReplyDelete'Change' is the one thing for certain... We miss our Thanksgivings at hubby's parents house where it seemed everyone gathered and everyone brought something and someone played the piano and someone the violin... They are passed now and our Thanksgiving holiday pales in comparison but we soldier on....
ReplyDeleteLove your snowlady! I think you did a marvelous job! Now you should paint one without the video and just use your instincts .. you might surprise yourself!! Happy happy T day! Hugs! deb
I hope your aunt is better soon. A small gathering can make for a wonderful Thanksgiving :) That's a lovely photo with the wine glass. Earmuffs are a good plan for everybody, snowmen included ;) Happy T Tuesday

Hi! What a cute, feminine snow woman you have created. You said that you are starting to put your Christmas card list together, so I was wondering whether you'll be turning this snow woman image into a Christmas card. And the lime green tag would make a beautiful gift tag.
ReplyDeleteYour blog and photos look just fine to me. I'm viewing them with Safari mobile.
Oh how I love your Snow woman! Thank you so much for this fabulous page! I love the tag too - those paper dolls are brilliant aren't they! BTW my photos this week were of Val de Grace in Paris - I will be returning to Poitiers soon but my SIL has been pestering me to show Val de Grace!! Sorry for confusing you! Happy T Day! Chrisx
