T Stands For This n' That

Well hello peeps- how are you? Wanted to begin by sharing this circle art with the nest because although I have not been able to spot the nests deep in our forsythia bushes, we have robins, catbirds, finches, and cardinals!!! First time I remember having cardinals nest in our yard- and boy they sure are noisy little things! I'm hoping to see lots of the fledglings fly out to one of the feeders:)

And how's the weather by you? We have again had SO much rain- several days last week with actual tornadoes, damaging hail, and winds surrounding us. Hubby and I were very lucky and missed the brunt of much of it in our neighborhood. Scary stuff!

The above art is another from a circle challenge I did on Instagram in April. Here's one more and then I only have a few more to show another time. It was such a great challenge for me to work on actual circles. And now I've jumped in for the first time on the Daisy Yellow ICAD a day challenge June 1 - July 31!! I'm posting one a day on IG as long as I can keep up. But you don't have to be on IG. And for those not on it I'll post my pieces here once a week. Anyone else joining in? Click the link and it will take you to the blog for more info. I have chosen NOT to do the prompts:)

I will share this circle piece with Moo Mania and More for the theme of "things with wings".

For T Stands for Tuesday I'll share a recent restaurant visit to have dinner and see a band:

I remembered to at least get a photo of the house salad and glass of Merlot but then put away the phone and forgot to take pics of the bread and sauce and our main meals which are always good here at Stefanos!

Sharing this journal page with Art Journal Journey (theme this month is"Words to Live By"); Try It On Tuesday (Make A Mark); and Paint Party Friday:

I smooshed some DOX inks on the background, added a bit of stenciling using Fuschia paint, scribbled with an aqua crayon, then spattered some black ink. I glued down the Dina Wakley Collage Collective circle image then scribbled and wrote around it. Lastly I glued down the Tim Holtz Small Talk sticker quote.

That's it from me for now. I have a very busy (mostly good!)  time coming up in this next week and a half. TTFN!

  1. We just missed the worse of the tornados too-scary stuff for sure.

  2. The weather has been so crazy this whole year. I heard about the tornadoes in your area and am glad all went well for you Linda. You have some more beautiful art this week too. And that salad looks good. If it is as good as your meal then I bet it was delicious. Hope its a great day. hugs-Erika

  4. Still love your circles, Linda. I really LOVE the first one. I have birds that are noisy nesting in my large tree, too. I have been following the sounds and finally saw one of the birds, but I couldn't tell what it was for sure. The second one is great, too. I love the bee reference and the coin holder you used to hold the bee.

I am also doing ICADs, as is Cindy at Pink Bird Studio. I don't know of anyone else, except now you, too. I suspect Cindy is on IG, but I'm not. I tried to follow the prompts the first year I did these, but gave up, because I can't draw and often didn't have images that would work. I post mine every Monday right before T time.

Your lovely journal page is fabulous. I have seen more Dina Wakely stamps and stencils in the past few weeks, none of which I own. I love the background you created and your quote is quite true, too. Thanks for sharing this with us using Halle's theme at Art Journal Journey.

Goodness your salad looks good and healthy, too. I am sure it went well with your Merlot. This would have filled me up, I'm sure. Thanks for sharing this salad, your Merlot, and your wonderful art with is for T this Tuesday.

  8. Oh my gosh - what a blessing to have young cardinals -- enjoy it! Your circles - at least those both you showed here - are simply precious! Looking forward to some more in the next postings! I love them and think this was an amazing challenge and so will the ICAD challenge be for you for sure! Have fun at it! And show us your ICADs here as well please!
I have to put the Instagram app onto my Iphone eventually as I am sure I would have fun taking such challenges and being part of them. I am registered there for such a long time but without the app or a special programme for the PC it isn't possible to get images uploaded there. But I always delayed it to take a special programme for the PC - but as I have a very smart cell phone meanwhle I should take the chance to get on instagram entirely soon!

I also never take photos of my meals when I eat out - I always forget or I have no power at the phone or I think it isn't fitting to take photos ..etc... but o.k. I don't as often eat out as you - this salad looks super to me! And I wouldn't mind a glass of Merlot at all!

I am in awe of this artsy page - I love your little special clever layers and the wonderful white space you always give us - another masterful creation and with a simply stunning and inspiring quote! Great words to live by!!! Thank you for joining in at Art Journal Journey and Try It On Tuesday with it and for supproting Moo Mania & More with this terrific circle!! Much appreciated - you always have the most beautiful posts every week showing your art and life!!! I love to read and look!

Happy T-Day and happy PPF for you dear Linda!

Enjoy your very busy GOOD time my friend!!!!

    Big hugs,Susi

Also very kind of you to say I've made so many wonderful cards through that . . . I tend to think of it as a wonderful creative exercise for me where I occasionally like what I make!!!😄 It's all good! Hugs, lenna

  14. We're getting rain again here after several days of sunny weather. There's been so much rain!

I like the circles. I'm paying attention to the ICAD posts and the prompts for them, but I'm only into the ATCs. I have discovered an ATCAD challenge that's also running in June. There's a lot of inspiration this month :)

That house salad looks tasty. Happy T Tuesday!

  37. Hi Linda, we were lucky to miss the brunt of the bad storms, too. I'm glad you are safe and sound. We just had lots and lots of rain, thunder and lightening, and some hail one evening at our home, but nothing damaging. (And I cannot believe the tornados!!!!) Anyway, I loved seeing your works of art here. Your circle art is so creative and wonderful. And the piece you shared with Art Journal Journey is absolutely beautiful!!!! I love the words to live by on your work - yes, you are never too old to dream a new dream!!! Hugs to you, Sharon
