It is hard for me to believe that Autumn arrives next Tuesday-but I am determined to get one last bit of summer fun in before it ends😏
Things wedding related have been taking up much of my time so not a lot of art has been getting done but that's OK by me as wedding stuff is fun too!
Recently my future DIL's mother hosted a gathering of the bridal party girls at a local winery. We had a great time and the winery was completely on top of the Covid rules so we were very comfortable. And, it was outdoors. So here's my ticket to T Stands For Tuesday with a few pics:
me and my soon to be daughter💗 A really wonderful cheese plate was ordered along with the wine and Laura made a large gift bag for each of us filled with a picnic lunch, game sheets , personalized drinking glasses and snacks. We had such a fun time!
Two pages I did in one of my two junk journals - French on the left, German on the right using images and bits from my ephemera and vintage button stash. I believe the German word means "wishing". I'm going to join in at Try It on Tuesday as they have a new theme of "use your scraps".
Not long ago my pkg. of new Dina Wakley products arrived from Joggles- in two days!! They were having an anniversary special so along with my order came 4 free rolls of Ranger washi tape 😄
The only disappointment was that the new black and white text collage tissue was sold out so I got the plain tissue and...
and here the complete page of which I shared a crop of it at the top of this post:
Dark denim page in the Dina Wakley Media Journal Blue Edition. Products: Dina Wakley- Collage Collective, Curly Fronds mask and stencil set, Be Willing stamp set. Other- white gesso, white Posca pen, Jet Black Archival ink.
Happy to be joining in at Art Journal Journey (theme is "texture"), and Paint Party Friday.
And that's all I got folks!

That looks like a fun get together and day out. Both of you mom's look as young as the daughters. You must be getting excited for the big day. Have any plans been modified because of covid? And nice new toys. I want that set of stamps you showed. One of these days. You created some nice art. I love your page and all the fun texture. Thanks for sharing with us at AJJ and also have a wonderful T day. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteso far Erika the only modifications have been about needing to have lids for the personalized mason jars that will be used at the reception for drinks;)
DeleteYour wedding event sounds delightful. It's so lucky to find a place that's observing needed social distancing and still putting on nice parties.
ReplyDeletebe well... mae at maefood.blogspot.com

ReplyDeleteHmmm. Does Voltaire has something for Germans, too, as in beer? ;-)
Happy T-day!
Fabulous, it looks like you had such fun with your DIL and friends! That cheese plate was quite something too and perfect with a glass or two of wine - so yummy 😁. Loving your stamp sets and page, the denim texture looks amazing with the stamping! Thanks so much for joining us at Art Journal Journey and wishing you a very happy T Day 😁. Hugs, Jo x

ReplyDeleteI love that cheese platter. Yummy! Perfect to eat with a glass of good wine.
Voltaire is a 'wise' man. He is absolutely right!
Happy T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca
I go by meteorological seasons instead of the astronomical reckoning, so it's been fall here since 9/1 lol It really does more closely match weather and plant changes here. I'm not going anywhere anyway, so there's that. The winery looks like a fun trip :) Happy T Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteOh Linda ~ such festivity for the Wedding to come ~ delightful photos and specia event ~ ^_^

I apologize for taking so long to visit. It was definitely beyond my control. I'm trying to catch up, but it's harder than I actually imagined it would be.
ReplyDeleteI guess I'm surprised the winery allowed you to walk around the vineyard without masks on. I didn't see a single mask on anyone. In KS you wear a mask regardless, inside or out.
It looked like you had a fun day, though. And your future DIL is so lovely and sweet. I think her mother outdid herself with those glasses. Thanks for sharing these photos from the winery with us for T this week, dear.
Looks like you put your Joggles purchase to good use. I liked the scraps journal pages and your Dina page is wonderful for Jo's theme at Art Journal Journey. Thanks for that, too.
About the winery Elizabeth, everyone in our group and others had masks on from the time we left our vehicles until we were seated at our distanced seatings, and each time anyone got up to go either to the restroom or anywhere from their seats, the masks were on. Really, it was quite comfortable and safe;)

Lovely work and such a happy time wedding planning!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea the winery visit was - and those goody bags were super and the cherry on top of the cake. Loved the photographs and how good to see that they were covid aware.
ReplyDeleteLove your parcel of DW goodies and great to see you using them on the denim page. Must also say that I enjoyed your two Junk journal pages at the beginning - what a good idea to use a French and a German age side by side.
Hugs, Neet x
