Hi peeps, how's everything? Hard to believe July is almost over.... A fabulous few days of summer sun- but without the humidity and I love it! I did also manage to spend a bit more time in my art room to work in some blog challenges too.
I'll begin with the challenge over at Art Journal Journey with guest host Alison and the theme of "summer countryside" for this month:
I created this page in the Dina Wakley kraft square journal. I used Dina Wakley paints, a black Stabilo All pencil, black Fude Ball pen, black Marabu Art Spray, a butterfly fussy cut from a collage sheet, and a computer generated quote.
For the new Simon Says Monday Blog Challenge (wild with washi), and the new Tag Tuesday Challenge (flowers/floral) I made this tag:
Products: manila tag which I covered with Tim Holtz washi tape set -Postal; Sponged over it with Distress Oxide Bundled Sage ink. Black spatters- black Marabu Art Spray, white spatters Dina Wakley white Gloss Spray. Flowers (Dina Wakley Always Flowers stamp set) stamped on kraft card stock using Versafine Onyx Black ink. bee is from a napkin. Sentiment is from Tim Holtz Clippings stickers. Tag edged with the Versafine Onyx Black ink.
Hi Linda, I always enjoy seeing your art-and your icad's are my favorites of those I have seen so far.
ReplyDeleteYour meal sounds delicious-I would really enjoy that Happy T wishes Kathy
Your art is once again fabulous, Linda. LOVE the journal page, the beautiful ICADs and the gorgeous tag! Thanks for joining us at TT and AJJ, much appreciated. And your food looks soooo good, yummy! Happy T day, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteBeautiful artwork, I'm loving your page and tag! The colourful backgrounds on your index cards looks amazing too 😀. I'd happily join you for your meal and wine this T Day - Happy T Day wishes! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteYou have created a plethora of great art this week, Linda, including the lovely entry you have created for Art Journal Journey. It's lovely and fits beautifully with Alison's theme, too. I like that tag, too. I am in love with that washi tape you used.
ReplyDeleteWhat can I say? You put a lot into every ICAD you make. As much as I like each and every one of them, Number 56 is my favorite. I may just use that sentiment myself one of these days! Especially since I never go anywhere or see anyone.
Your salad sounds terrific. I love albacore tuna. It is SO much better than the canned stuff packed in water. Although I'm not fond of romaine, it still sounds wonderful. Of course, your Bordeaux sounds like the perfect addition to the meal.
Thanks for sharing your art, your ICADs, and your salad and Bordeaux with us for T this Tuesday, dear Linda.
An absolutely beautiful page - so full of serenity and peace with those lovely flower stems. Sadly, I'm finding that living in a rural community it's actually really noisy - someone's always mowing or chopping or ploughing or sawing something!! I need to get out into the woods to escape the countryside noises!! Love the tags and ICADs too. Thanks so much for joining us in the Summer Countryside at Art Journal Journey.
ReplyDeleteAlison x
OMG, I love your index cards! The backgrounds are fab but the snarkyness is just what I needed this morning. #3 -is pretty much what is wrong with the world and the last one is the total truth.
ReplyDeleteThat salad sounds yummy (especially the wine part - lol) and looks great too. I wish my hubby liked salad more - I would do them all the time.
Super journal page and tag. The colors on the journal page are very cool and I love how your leaves came out. I like how you kept the tag neutral and the bee is fun. Great makes!
Great post - happy T-day!
Wonderful art in this post Linda. I feel like I had an art museum visit today. Your page for AJJ and Alison's challenge is amazing. I love the multicolored background. And nice tag as well as ICADS. Thanks goodness for those TH people. They make great pieces on all kinds of art, don't they? And your summer dinner looks amazing. Yum. I responded to your comment about the winery where your son was. Hope you get it. If not leave me another comment and I'll respond. I bet he did have a wonderful trip to NH. Thanks for sharing art with us at AJJ and have a wonderful T day. Stay cool. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteI’m a new follower of your fun artwork! I love your take on the summer countryside theme for AJJ. Focusing on a single terrific element of summer.
ReplyDeleteYour tag is awesome with the inspiring washi tape background. I love washi! That looks like a great set of tapes to have.
I love your sets of ICADs too. So colorful. They really look like a lot of fun to create.
Another great post. I always look forward to seeing your art as they all have a saying, and I love reading them all. Those Tim Holz dolls are really lovely.
ReplyDeleteYour lunch looks delicious. Just the ticket. I would love to have some too. (and the wine tops it off of course). I have been drinking less and less wine. Hubby is not allowed to have it and I don't want to open a whole bottle. (So I don't) Only in company do I indulge in a nice glass of wine and then it tastes so much better.
Happy T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca
Your tuna/bean salad looks delicious, and I'm inspired to jazz up my boring tuna salad next time :) I like your ICAD series. Happy T Tuesday!
