Getting Things Done
How is everyone doing? Getting more done around the house now that most of us are staying put?
Hubby's company was forced to close its doors temporarily and he is a wood crafter so there's nothing he can do for the company from home. The good news is that he can collect until his workplace reopens. And he's already getting lots done around the house- like cleaning out the large shed, painting inside, and repairing/redoing the wood window trims and such. And I went into full Spring cleaning mode- changing and washing curtains, doing windows, etc., etc.:
and you can see I am keeping myself well hydrated with that very large water bottle that stays with me all day:) My entry for T Stands For Tuesday with Bleubeard and Elizabeth at Altered Book Lover. Poor Elizabeth has been dealing with awful internet issues but thankfully I see that she is back on and fingers crossed it stays that way!
Of course I always have time for art too! This tag is meant for the new theme at Tag Tuesday (Bunnies and Butterflies):
The dimensional butterfly is one of four that Valerie sent me recently ;)
I was also recently gifted with two blank junk journals to play in. This one comes from my dear friend Patty:
I decorated the cover with the ATC coin art, postage stamp, and bee napkin that also came from Patty. And here are the first two pages I created:
I will share this with Try It On Tuesday for the theme of "Home Sweet Home" or "Where You'd Like to Live". I think you all pretty much know that I dream of living by the water!
And this is the facing page:
The ATC coin was also sent to me from Patty.
My mixed media journal page is for Art Journal Journey with the theme of "Green":
I guess my thoughts were on the world as it is right now. But it has been such a dark, chilly , rainy day that I needed a splash of color to brighten things up! This was done in my Dina Wakley Media Journal. I used her collage faces and collage words tissue papers.
I will also link to Paint Party Friday.
Sending virtual hugs!!

Happy T day Linda. I want to say thanks for linking that awesome Dina Wakely page to Art Journal Journey. It is perfect for Eileen's challenge and I also really like the curve of paint. It is really awesome. And thanks for linking to Try It On Tuesday also. I think that is great take on the newest theme. I would also love to live by the water and maybe even watch the mermaids-smile. And good for to get all that spring cleaning done. I've done a bit here and there but online teaching is really keeping me busy so far. Have a fabulous T day. And keep washing your hands. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, Lots of great art here that you sharing. Thanks for the inspiration-I have been in a slump and haven't gotten anything accomplished here at home-I am retired so stay home anyways-but I have projects for our new lake home-maybe I can get to those soon-hugs Happy T Kathy
ReplyDeleteBeautiful art again, love it all, and thanks for making such a gorgeous tag for TT. Now you know why the butterflies flew to you! Lovely gifts from Patty, too. Stay safe, happy T Day, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteHubby is still driving to work, I´m not too happy with that.
ReplyDeleteWe´re both couching. Hope it´s just a cough... masks are not available, it´s crazy, as everywhere...
Love your tag!! Oh, and the others, too. Oh, I´d so love to listen to a real ocean! (Hubby made me an ocean-loop to sleep better, but I need total silence, sadly).
Sunny here, but frickin´ cold... Off to make a tea . happy T-day, stay healthy!
Your artwork looks fantastic. I especially like your art journal pages. That quote is great. I'm sorry to hear your husband's company has closed temporarily. Hopefully the unemployment checks will be enough to help pay the bills. Some businesses here in Connecticut have started informing the state that they are closing permanently, because they can't sustain themselves due to the decline in their businesses that started before the Lock Down, which began here at 8pm last night.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous artwork here.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining us at TRY IT ON TUESDAY
Lovely creations, love the tag.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are keeping busy with all the cleaning and beautiful art that you've been creating! The journal cover and pages look stunning - I love them 😊. There's nothing better than a spot of colour to cheer a grey day, perfect! Take care and sending Happy T Day wishes! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are getting a lot done! That is very exciting. Ideally, we should all have clean houses by the end of quarantine.
ReplyDeleteYour journal pages are beautiful, as always. That ATC is a great focal piece for your layout. I never got into those but I really like the shape.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate
Wow! Linda ~ think you have outdone yourself with this post ~ all artwork is fantastic ~ will be back to comment on each one ~ thanks, ^_^

Hi Linda, thank for your earlier visit, we have been nippi gout every time the rain slows down to sweep the rain on to the garden and empty buckets out on to the road!
ReplyDeleteYour art work is so lovely and so is your junk journal, love how you’ve decorated them. I like the green themed art!
Sounds like your husband has been really busy so at least the time out hasn’t been wasted.
Enjoy your week, take care, Jan x
Wow, I wish I had your ambition, Linda. I am so out of it and have no desire to make art right now. It's great to see yours, though. That is a gorgeous tag, dear. I'm really impressed. I also am delighted to see you have created Dina inspired art in your Dina media journal that you could share with us at Art Journal Journey.
ReplyDeleteOh how I miss Patty. I really wish I was on Instagram. I have been told she posts there, but when I go there, they want me to join before they show me anything. Since I have no cell phone, I have no way of joining. She is always generous to a fault.
Hydrating is good. I'm also glad you and your husband are safe. It's good they are paying him, too. Thanks for sharing your incredible art and your water with us for T this Tuesday.
"Getting more done around the house now that most of us are staying put?" Well, no, since you asked lol
ReplyDeleteThe ATC and ATC coins are wonderful! I like seeing your creations :) Happy T Tuesday
I've been spring cleaning too, Linda. I changed the curtains and bedding today. I bet a lot of us are doing our cleaning with extra disinfectant this year.
ReplyDeleteI love your cheering green page with the bright swash of color and very wise quote. Thank you for sharing it with us at Art Journal Journey.
The junk journal from Patty and the pages you've done are beautiful.
Stay well.

ReplyDeleteI'm glad you are well. Your art page with the quote is lovely. As are the other ones. Yes, being by the ocean must be so amazing.

Fabulous art once again Linda! I love the tag but it is your journal pages that I especially love! I think I could have guessed you would want to be near water! That page is just great for Try It On Tuesday, Thank you! I love that Dina page, how did you get the splodgy edges? Lots to fear in this world. We are both retired so we didn't have to leave our jobs. We both worked in education. Schools were closed early on. It must be very difficult on students, parents and educators. - Margy
ReplyDeleteLovely take on our theme this month, like you I have always wanted to live by the sea
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining in at TIOT challenge
Joan
Wonderful creations.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda. I´m fine. As I am retired the virus has not affected me that much yet. Been shopping for my sister and staying out of crowds. But that is easy as I go to the woods when I go outdoors, mostly. And, I like the words in the last piece :)
ReplyDeleteStay safe.
'Spring cleaning' - whats that!? :) I should do this and that but right now I'm in painting/drawing mood...
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week!
What a fantastic quote and paired with a beautiful picture ~ I'm going to write that down " A head full of fears has no place for dreams" in fact I need to pin that! thank you for your positive message ~ now if I can just catch your cleaning bug...!
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, I always love to pop in when I can to see all you've created. You never disappoint! Those last words are wise indeed. Hugs and prayers, XOX
