Inspiration

Happy new week all! We've definitely been having typical summer weather- heat, humidity, and some thunderstorms in between. Of course I love it! And finally I got a proper haircut this past Friday as salons opened for the first time since early March. So happy to have layers again:) And the salon I go to is vigilant about cleanliness, etc. so I was quite comfortable. How are things in your parts?

Most breakfasts  I sit in our backyard and so I am sharing a typical summer season breakfast with everyone and joining T Stands For Tuesday:

Finished my first cup of coffee then had my Kashi Go Lean cereal with mixed fruits and almond milk(which looks blue from the blueberries) before getting my second (and last) cup.

I have one last journal page for the theme at Art Journal Journey for June (A Stitch in Time) with guest host Halle. Thanks for a great theme!

In the Dina Wakley Blue Media Journal on the white cotton rag paper. Dina Wakley paints, stencil, gloss sprays, Collage Collective papers, you are clear stamp. Tim Holtz numbers stencil; Marabu Art Spray- black.

There is a new theme over at Tag Tuesday "Put a Sentiment On It" hosted by Valerie. My tag:

and I must thank Valerie for gifting me with the beautiful painted background /tag and the die cut tree! All I did was put it together with the typed words, washi tape, ribbon and charcoal edging.

Lastly here are my past week's ICADS (index card a day art):

                                                              #23

                                                                         #24

                                                                    #25

                                                                 #26

                                                              #27

                                                              #28

                                                              #29

and that's it for me this week. Joining Paint Party Friday too!

Keep well and safe everyone.

  2. That was an incredible journal page, I love the focal region, but I also like how you used stencils and spray paints to create the background. Thanks for sharing it with us using Halle's theme at Art Journal Journey.

I really like that tag. It's beautiful and so well done. Of course, I am totally in LOVE with your ICADs. Day 23 is my favorite because of the saying, but Day 29 is also a favorite because of the hearts. Of course, they are all great, so it's always hard to choose. Also, thanks for stopping by and seeing mine last Friday, too.

You have a great place for breakfast. I keep saying I'm going to buy some almond milk, but never do. Thanks for sharing your awesome journal page, your beautiful tag, your amazing ICADs, and your breakfast and coffee with us for T this Tuesday, dear Linda.

  3. Hi Linda, lots of beautiful art again. Your breakfast looks good. You found some great sentiments for your ICADS. And thanks for joining us at Tag Tuesday with 'our' lovely tag, much appreciated! Happy T Day, Valerie

  4. Your journal has become very beautiful from cutting hair and the design is well thought out by you. I also like the background. The other works are also beautiful. Delicious your breakfast.
I wish you a nice start to the new month of July, Elke

  5. I like your mug and plate. Your cereal looks delicious. Your artwork is lovely. I like the sayings you've used, especially the "oops" one. It has been unseasonably hot and dry where I am in Connecticut, so much so that we're in a Level D0 drought. We had a little rain over the past three days, so I'm hoping that saves my forsythia bushes, which were extremely wilted. Happy T-Day!

  6. I take your "oops"!
Sadly summer took a break. Again. It´s cold. Enjoy for me, too, OK?
    Happy T-day and hugs.

  9. It must feel nice to sit outside for your breakfast, its still a bit to cool in the mornings to do that here in the UK.
Our hairdressers open next week in some areas, much though I need mine cut it will be a while before I book an appointment.
Fabulous art projects and I love the page you have linked to Art Journal Journey thank you for joining us there.

  11. I love your new photo, Linda. I swear you grow younger (unlike the rest of us).

Lovely page for Halle's "Stitch in Time" theme. Great composition and, of course, I admire your effective use of white space.

That's a beautiful tag that you and Valerie made ;-)

Yummy colorful ICADs. I'm slow on the uptake sometimes. I just realized how you can pump these out day after day. I finally see the common elements and format.

    Very inspiring post.

    Happy T-Day! Hugs, Eileen

  12. First creation is divine in its simplicity ~ lovely ^_^

Not going for a haircut yet ~ letting bangs grow and stopped blow drying for the most part and going 'au naturel' ~ LOL

  13. That looks like a yummy breakfast. I have never understood the american taste for blueberries. They don't taste of much. I occasionally buy them when they are on special offer and then I usually cook them as the taste then comes out, and we spread that on pancakes.
I love your ICADs and the sayings on them. Your tag is beautiful, such lovely colours.
Wishing you a very happy T-Day,
Hugs (These ones are allowed, but oh I so crave real hugs),

  14. Some wonderful art you have shared today but as always, your Dina journal is my favorite.
I bet it felt fabulous to be able to get a hair cut. I am really hoping to get one soon but I don't want to drag all my littles with me to the hairdresser. I am really starting to look shaggy.
    Happy Tea day,
    Kate

  15. We have stylists doing cuts, but I'm not ready. Cases and deaths continue to increase daily here :( Blueberries are so good for you, and I eat them frequently in yoghurt. Happy T Tuesday!

  19. Having your breakfast outside is a wonderful way to start your day. Salons here just opened up the last week or so. I'd feel better to give them a chance to figure out what's working. The Young One and I played hairdresser and we cut each other's hair. We didn't do a bad job. Pretty tag you made and all your wonderful ICADs are so inspirational with their affirmations. Take care and Happy T Day

  20. Breakfast looks and sounds delicious - eating it outside sounds even better! I was offered an appointment at my hairdressers but it is a small salon and I said I would wait for a while! I will let them get the teething problems over before I go at the end of the month! Your art is incredibly beautiful - the journal page is my favourite , but your ICADs really are impressing me! Belated T Day Wishes, Hugs, Chrisx
